At the Climate & Carbon Hub Kinshasa – DRC, we believe that an effective climate transition is not possible without synergy between local communities, project developers, and international leaders. We are a unique hub, designed to connect, support, and safeguard carbon project developers, communities, national and international companies, institutions, and donors.
Mission
The Kinshasa Climate & Carbon Hub is a pioneering platform dedicated to structuring, financing, and supporting carbon and climate projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our mission is to connect investors, public institutions, project developers, and local communities to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy while delivering measurable social impacts.

The projects we support
Improved Cookstoves – Vitol & Rawbank
This USD 2 million project, funded by Vitol and Rawbank, supports the distribution of improved cookstoves in the DRC. It significantly reduces wood consumption and CO₂ emissions, improves household health by lowering indoor smoke, and reduces the workload of women and children collecting firewood.
Tellus Conservation – DRC, Kinshasa
Based in Kinshasa, DRC, Tellus Conservation is committed to forest preservation and emission reduction. Their certified carbon projects generate direct benefits for local communities through jobs, income, and ecosystem services.
